What is ACC？
ABOUT ASTA CHINA CHAPTER
Founded in 1931, American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), is the world's largest and most influential association of travel professionals and also the largest travel agent association in the United States, whose members include travel agents, tour operators, travel suppliers providing travel products or services such airlines, hotels, car rental firms, cruise lines etc. Currently ASTA has more than 10,500 members covering 140 countries, occupying about 80% of the total travel sales of the U.S.
In order to help tourism destinations, travel agents, tour operators and travel suppliers both in China and North America to expand their bilateral business and cooperation, plan and coordinate the cross-border FAM trips, and promote both inbound and outbound tourism of China, Beyond Summits Ltd (BSL) officially establish a cooperative relation with ASTA and became its exclusive representative in China in 2017, and in the same year set up ASTA China Chapter (ACC) with Ms. Isabella Hou (CEO of BSL) as its president.
The mission of ACC is to coordinate the relationship between Chinese government and the tourism enterprises at home and abroad, promote the cross-border communication and cooperation in tourism, increase its members’ professionalism, knowledge and service level by education, training, FAM trips, convention and exhibition, tourism promotion, market research, information sharing etc. and diversify its member agencies’ cross-border tour products so as to boost the development of tourism market of both China and the U.S.
For the purpose of better serving China’s tourism industry and with the strong support from Haikou Municipal Government, ACC is planning to officially set up its Head Office in Haikou, Hainan Province, China. The domestic registration process has been kicked off now.
